– If you come in Zona Bandita by car, we recommend that you park or in Mestre and Marghera or before the Bridge, and then take a bus that takes you directly to Piazzale Roma. The car parks in Piazzale Roma are quite expensive, between 24 and 28 euros for 24 hours of the Municipal Garage at 30 and the San Marco (private). If you just stop for a few hours you can leave your car in the parking Sant’Andrea (under the People Mover tracks) which costs € 4.50 per two hours. You can also leave the car at Tronchetto Park but prices are the same … and you have a nice walk to get in P. Rome. You can also risk to park at the fish market (follow the signs to the port of venice) but be careful, if you get the car back after 3 am, the fish market is open and you get caught between the truck that unload fish and a 30 euros fine on the windshield.
-If you walk : from Piazzale Roma, there are several ways. take the small calle next to St. Mark Garage (in front of the “People Mover” elevated train … that fucking useless turists train), follow the road and at the end of it, when you see the water, on the right there is Zona Bandita. other way: go to the garden with the shops that sells stupid things for tourist, turn right (before the bridge) , after few meters there is another bridge that crosses another, when you’re above, turn left and you’re on Fondamenta dei Tabacchi … Zona Bandita is towards the end of the Fondamenta.
– For those who have come to play: after the car bridge (ponte della libertà), after the signs for Tronchetto and St. Basil put yourself in the right lane (following signs to “Park”) make the turn on the right: you’ll see a tree beside the “Garage San Marco” (the only tree that is in Piazzale Roma) park there to unload the instruments.
